Here are my contributions to The Last of Us 2. I took on a new adventure before the game was finished, so I didn’t get to cross the finish line with the team. But, I’m truly honored and thrilled to have had a part in it. The team that made this game is amazing and all departments created some rare magic together.
I primarily worked on the Theater, plus helped in other areas such as the snowy pines/shrubs. And I was fortunate to be able to contribute to the level design process on a few levels/sections. I took the theater, with the immense help of Emilia Schatz and the entire design team, from layout to art beta with the super talented texture/shading/modeling artist Chris Hodgson. The uber talented lighting artists Scott Greenway and Huan Tran made all those models and materials look great. After I left, Topher Sassman finished modeling/set dressing all the interior along with Max Goloisy and Zak Oliver on the exterior.
ND’s environment art leadership team including Andres Rodriguez, Erick Pangilinan, Waylon Brinck, Christian Nakata, and John Sweeney was the driving force in making this all happen. In addition, we had some amazing outsourcing partners—the internal outsource artists Yan Dong, Brian Sanders, and Tim Williams were vital in making this game what it is.
Games like these are a massive team effort and they take so many people to achieve the end result. If I left out any credits, please let me know and I’ll correct immediately.
