I finally got around to wrapping this scene up! I wanted to create a photo-illustrative image with the hint of a whimsical, mysterious story rooted in 80's nostalgia. One of my main goals with this project was to use and continue to build up my material library in v-ray. Halfway through the process I wanted to learn some photogrammetry techniques using Agisoft and decided to scan the shoe instead of modeling it. The process was really fun and definitely will be using it for future projects.
I used 3dsmax and zbrush for modeling with v-ray for rendering. The foliage was created using GrowFX for 3dsmax with my own foliage texture scans along with a few from cgtextures. For most of the textures I used Allegorithmic's Bitmap 2 Material which served well for extracting the various control maps for v-ray. The teddy bear was made in zbrush using fibermesh which I then dynameshed and sculpted a bit to get the mud.
Time to move onto new projects, thanks for checking out!
